Curtains/Blinds - It is the responsibility of the Customer (or tenants if rental property) to remove and re-install all curtains, blinds, shutters etc. In some cases, window treatments may not fit after your new windows are installed. Different brackets or different size treatments may be required. Window treatments are NOT Venture’s responsibility!

Air conditioners - Due to insurance issues, Venture cannot re-install A/C units. We will remove them if the customer provides a waterproof surface next to the window on which to place the unit. Air conditioners often have water trapped inside and this may stain your flooring. New windows will close in the opening a few inches, and we cannot guarantee your A/C units will fit into the new windows.

Landscaping - Some work may be done from outside. We will try not to damage any plantings, but in some cases it is unavoidable. We cannot be held responsible for damaged plants.

Rain/Snow - If inclement weather occurs, we may need to postpone the installation. Rain/snow is both unsafe for our crews due to slips and falls, and electrical power equipment is unsafe in the rain. In addition, rain can warp floors. Venture reserves the right to postpone any job we deem necessary and since our schedule is always set up at least a few days in advance we may need to re-schedule up to a week into the future.

Alarms systems - Venture cannot re-install alarm sensors or wiring. Please contact your alarm company in advance and have them present the morning of the installation. We will help the alarm company, if possible, with pulling wires to where they want them. They can usually return the next day to install sensors or magnets.

Furniture/wall decorations - Please move all furniture away from windows so that we can work. We cannot be responsible for moving entertainment centers, waterbeds, wall units etc. These can easily be damaged or floors scratched.  It is also advisable to remove all pictures and shelves near the windows.

Painting – painting or preparation for painting of any type is not included.

Other important terms:

Warranty - All products are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty. This warranty is for parts only, and glass may be pro-rated after 10 years. Venture warranties labor for 5 years (unless otherwise specified on the contract). There may be a labor charge if a technician is required to come to your home after 5 years. This labor cost may be easily avoided as most parts are easy to install, and we will instruct you how to do so when you come to pick up the part.

Re-installation of existing storm doors – this does not include any guaranty of proper operation - Venture will make a reasonable effort to get them to work.
